Honey and Cinnamon

Face mask

This is a great facial mask that can be concocted using just two ingredients.  The mask is effective in fighting acne, as both honey and cinnamon have antimicrobial properties.

These are the two ingredients:

2 tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon cinnamon

Rinse your face and pat dry it. Mix the honey and cinnamon together until they form a paste.  Apply this paste to your face and leave it on for around 10 – 15 minutes.  Rinse your face completely and pat dry.


Apple Cider

Vinegar Toner

This is another anti-acne remedy that can kill the trouble-making bacteria.  It is great for use as an astringent, which can dry up the excess oil on your skin.  It is alkaline in nature and balances the PH level of your skin, which make it harder for bacteria to thrive. You will need unfiltered apple cider vinegar and fresh water. Wash your face and pat dry. Take one part vinegar and dilute with three parts water to make the solution. Using cotton ball, to apply this solution directly to your acne and blemishes. Leave on for around 10 minutes.  Wash your face and pat dry. Reapply this solution several times during the day wash your face thoroughly after each application.

Make it a point to use a good moisturizer after, if you feel your skin becoming drier than usual.  You may want to consider using coconut oil due to its antimicrobial, anti-fungal, and antibacterial properties which go a long way in preventing breakouts.
